Thursday, June 4
Tarot Arts
As part of the Los Angeles Festival of Tarot, TarotArts is honored to welcome Casey Zabala for a limited day of private tarot readings on Thursday, June 4th.
This is a unique opportunity to receive a reading from an internationally respected tarot reader, artist, and teacher whose work has helped shape modern intuitive and witchcraft-based tarot practice.
Casey is the creator of the beloved Wanderer’s Tarot and Wyrd Sisters Oracle, and the founder and host of the Modern Witches Podcast. Her work centers on empowerment, re-enchantment, and helping individuals reconnect with their own innate magic.
With over 20 years of experience in the intuitive and symbolic arts, Casey brings a deeply thoughtful, creative, and grounded approach to divination. Her readings are not about prediction alone—they are an invitation into reflection, clarity, and personal transformation.
By appointment only.
As part of the Los Angeles Festival of Tarot, TarotArts is delighted to welcome Melinda Lee Holm for a special in-person event inspired by her beloved Live readings.
Melinda will offer free live tarot readings for the audience. Guests are invited to write down a question, drop it in a bowl, and settle in for an hour of individual readings done in front of a group.
Participants will have the option to choose the deck Melinda uses for their reading from a selection of gorgeous decks available at Tarot Arts. Get some guidance, see unique tarot decks in action, and learn more about how Melinda interprets the cards. Followed by Q&A
This is a rare opportunity to experience tarot as both a practice and a shared, live experience.—to learn, observe, and participate in a dynamic, communal reading space. You may even receive a reading yourself.
Free and open to the public. RSVP requested for priority seating.
Join the Los Angeles Festival of Tarot in opening our celebratory weekend with a participatory ritual led by intuitive witch and tarot author, Casey Zabala. The gathering will begin with a guided grounding, casting the sacred circle, and a calling in of the Tarot elementals which hold and protect our practice.
The center of the ritual space will be the Wheel of Fortune, our collective Tarot archetype for 2026. Participants are encouraged to bring an offering to Fortuna, the goddess of Fate, to leave as our Wheel of Fortune offerings. Through the ritual, these offerings will be charged and transformed into gifts for anyone to take home with them after the ritual.
We will invoke the wisdom of the Wheel through guided meditation, and channel the elemental energies of the Aces of the Tarot through vocal invocation, and chanting. The ritual will be participatory, collaborative, and celebrate the elemental and cyclical nature of tarot’s ecosystem.
Free and open to the public

Land Art: Reading Landscapes and Navigating Tarot Weather Through the Work of Ecological Visual Poets
This exercised-based class explores what we can learn practically about Tarot from these artists and their incredible practices. Rather than reading cards as isolated symbols, we will approach them as environments in flux. Seasonal change becomes narrative, landscape shapeshifting both in structures and colors, while the reader blends into an active inhabitant within the field of meaning. Divination, in this light, emerges as a form of ecological awareness—an art of perceiving and working with the conditions that sculpt both inner and outer worlds.

12-1:30pm
Workshop: Liz Huston
Discovering and Crafting a Mythic Story for Your Life Through the Cards
The ecosystem of our psyche is populated with Archetypes, and they find expression through us into the outer world. Archetypes appear across time and space and in every single culture through art and mythologies. They are our cultural inheritance. They help us craft meaning through the stories we tell ourselves about our lives, as well as the stories we pass down.
In this dynamic workshop, Huston guides participants through a series of interactive exercises, engaging the cards within a shared, sacred container to reveal the archetypal themes already shaping our lives and to uncover ways of inviting more empowering stories.
Ticket sold separately.
3:30-5pm
Tea Ceremony: Zhena Muzyka
Tea & Tarot: A Ritual to Create Connection, Clarity, and Lasting Memory
In a world of endless wellness offerings, tea ceremony stands apart. It is meaningful. It is intimate. It is unforgettable.
This is not a tea tasting; it is a transformational ritual that creates connection, clarity and lasting memory, incorporating group Tarot insight and archetypal wisdom with an energetic tea selection aligned with the moment.
Magic Hour founder Zhena Muzyka brings three decades of mastery in herbalism, tea ceremony, Tarot, astrology and reiki to her bespoke ceremonial experiences. She does not simply serve tea. Zhena facilitates revelation.

Sanyu Estelle will explore the rich migratory history of the cards that uncovers the complex interplay of cultures, traditions, religions, spiritualities, and the social upheaval that shaped the tarot as we know it today. In this presentation, the Tarot deck will also be broken down (from a material perspective, not a symbolic perspective) by which regions of the world contributed which aspects of the Tarot as we know it today.
-
Penny will offer an overview of the 3 oracles she is about to release on-line, describing the kind of ecosystems each one represents.
This is the first public presentation about this project, where Penny presents divination as a form of spiritual practice.

As we find ourselves navigating the end of one world, and the birth of another, we turn to the chthonic landscape and underworld spirits of the Tarot for guidance and resilience. The guardians of the underworld of the Tarot include the High Priestess and Justice, allusions to goddesses that in some traditions, steward souls across the threshold of this world into another.
Casey Zabala unpack the otherworldly symbolism of these Tarot archetypes, explore cultural context for underworld exploration, and invite us into a participatory relationship with the psychic wisdom of the High Priestess & Justice.
Part lecture, part guided meditation, together we will enter into a new relationship with the underworld, at a moment when its profound wisdom may help us transform. By tapping into this underworld landscape, may we gain insight and inspiration into how to lead a more aligned life.

Not every path with Tarot remains in the Reader's chair. Yet, the cards teach just the same.
Onyi has worked with Tarot and Oracle decks as a practitioner, incorporating the cards into readings, rituals, ceremonies, altars, and dreamwork. Yet her deeper directive was never to master Tarot as a system, but to allow it to contribute to the shaping and sharpening of her greatest instrument: her capacity to listen, surrender, and move with the flow of energy and information presenting itself.
In this session, Onyi shares the arc of that relationship: Tarot as companion, guide, and teacher within a larger ecosystem of divination and devotion. She will then hold space for a body-anchored ceremonial experience honoring the Spirit(s) of Tarot and Divination—weaving sonic vibration, elemental energy, and collective intention into a guided meditation and card pull that returns us to the communal joy of simply receiving and reflecting together.
-
The Reader is a shadow play tracing a Tarot reader’s day of client encounters. As each reading unfolds, interpretations take form—cards flicker to life and transform in unexpected ways through the magic of shadow puppetry.
Don't miss the unforgettable world premiere of this very special original work created exclusively for the L.A. Festival of Tarot.

How does a memory smell? How does a secret look?
As part of the Los Angeles Festival of Tarot, this immersive, hands-on workshop with artist and astrologer Danielle Delceppo invites you into the world of Visual Perfumery—a collage-based method that treats imagery like fragrance.
Participants will explore the Major Arcana as a living archive, learning to layer transparent visual notes to build a custom card that reflects their own personal history. To ground the experience in the physical world, you will complete your creation by selecting a curated aroma to scent your card with, anchoring your intuitive work in a multisensory scent- memory. Leave with a physical artifact of your own making and a new, atmospheric language for the tarot.

Tarot and oracle decks are more than collections of cards. They are living ecosystems of symbols, archetypes, mythology, and imagination that create a relationship between creator, reader, and spirit.
In this interactive workshop, author and deck creator Pamela Chen guides participants through the magical process of transforming an idea into a fully realized deck concept. Through brainstorming in the Akashic Records, symbolic world building, publishing insights, and creative prompts, participants will explore how to shape a deck with deep meaning and spiritual connection.
Participants will learn the differences between tarot and oracle systems, how to develop cohesive themes and archetypes, ways to strengthen the “world” of their deck, tips for finding artists, and insight into both self-publishing and traditional publishing pathways.
Whether you are creating a deck for personal use, client work, creative expression, or future publication, this workshop offers practical tools, inspiration, and guidance to help bring your vision into form. Participants are encouraged to bring a notebook, sketchbook, or any existing deck ideas they would like to explore during the workshop.
